Summer 2026

The Africa Programme exists to support students and graduates as they take a first step into meaningful work. It connects early-career talent in Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana with real projects inside organisations working in their own communities. Every placement is designed by the host organisation around work it genuinely needs done, so Career Starters gain experience that counts and hosts get real work delivered.

  3. Start on 10 August with online training.

  4. Join your host organisation for a six-week placement onsite working on a real project with support from your host and Learning Connected throughout.

  5. Finish on 9 October with proven experience, a reference and a professional network in your own community.

Open Positions

Placements are open to current students and recent graduates (within the last three years) of university or TVET institutions who are nationals of the country where the host organisation is based.

Places are limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so roles close as soon as they are filled. The final deadline is 24 July 2026 but we expect the remaining roles to be filled before then. Apply for one role only, the one that best matches your skills.
