What we hold ourselves to
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Inclusivity
Programmes designed for people from different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
Integrity
Transparent, ethical partnerships. We say what we mean and do what we say.
Impact
Real, measurable outcomes for organisations, participants and communities.
Innovation
Practical, evidence-informed approaches to real problems.
Accountability
Clear scopes, honest expectations and follow-through. We own our delivery.
Fair pay
Every placement is paid fairly for its context. We do not facilitate unpaid work.
Built to deliver.
HOW WE WORK
We design programmes that give early-career professionals genuine project work with organisations that take it seriously. Every engagement is scoped, supported and built to deliver real outcomes.
We stay involved throughout. That is what makes the difference between a placement that works and one that doesn't.
OUR STORY
How we got here
A short history of what we have built and where we are going.
Learning Connected is founded
After working across education and the social impact sector, Farida Danmeri founded Learning Connected. Having seen first-hand how placements accelerated her own career transitions, she built a model that puts that same experience to work for early-career professionals and the organisations they join.
First university partnerships and Africa Innovate
Micro-internship programmes launch with university partners. First cohorts complete placements with social sector organisations. In partnership with The Africa Centre, Learning Connected co-produces Africa Innovate — an international online conference and hackathon connecting students, educators and entrepreneurs around sustainable development challenges.
Community and civic programmes expand
Programme delivery grows across UK-based values-led organisations and community partners.
Social Impact Fellowship programmes begin
Fellowship partnerships established with Futures for Women and SOAS University of London. Structured fellowship model developed and delivered.
Sector recognition
Farida Danmeri is named joint winner of the WISE100 Changemaker Award, recognising her work driving positive change through social innovation. Learning Connected is also named a PIEoneer Awards finalist and ranked #2 Top Company for Employment by F6S.
Africa programme launches
First Africa cohort placed across host organisations in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. South-South model, locally grounded.
