Organisation Description
Triple Green Environmental Development Foundation (TGED Foundation) is a nonprofit organisation in Nigeria dedicated to fostering environmental sustainability through inclusive, community-driven solutions. Its work cuts across community engagement, grassroots projects, stakeholder collaboration, environmental education, public health advocacy and evidence-based research, with a mission to advance community-led solutions for climate and environmental resilience. Current initiatives include the Eco-Savers School Project, the Plastic-Free Ekiti Campaign, the Kick for Planet Initiative and the Treevolution Seed to School Initiative, which together span environmental and climate education, climate justice and policy advocacy, sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity conservation and capacity building.
Project Scope
This onsite project contributes to TGED Foundation's mission of advancing community-led climate and environmental solutions by strengthening the funding base that sustains its four flagship initiatives: the Eco-Savers School Project, the Plastic-Free Ekiti Campaign, the Kick for Planet Initiative and the Treevolution Seed to School Initiative:
Researching and mapping local and international donors focused on climate education, environmental advocacy, biodiversity conservation and youth development.
Developing and maintaining a tracker of 10–15 active grant opportunities matching TGED Foundation's thematic areas.
Drafting 2 concept notes tailored to specific upcoming calls for proposals.
Assisting with proposal components including problem statements, project evidence and budgets, drawing on results such as ESSP's reach across 46 schools.
Supporting donor engagement including briefing documents, meeting notes and follow-up communications.
Developing a donor engagement email template toolkit to support outreach.
Project Outcomes
A verified tracker of 10–15 active grant opportunities matching TGED Foundation's scope.
2 fully drafted concept notes tailored to upcoming calls for proposals.
At least one donor proposal or funding case drafted for a strategic opportunity.
Donor engagement support materials including briefing notes and follow-up summaries.
A donor engagement email template toolkit.
Internship Requirements
Eligibility: Open to fresh graduates only. This is an onsite internship based in Nigeria, so candidates must be available to work in person for the full placement.
Analytical & Research Skills: Ability to conduct desktop research on donors and grant opportunities and synthesise insights into structured documents.
Writing & Documentation: Competence in preparing concept notes, proposal components and donor communications.
Environmental & Development Awareness: Interest in climate action, environmental advocacy or community development.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially for trackers, budgets and documents.
Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with the TGED Foundation team and respond to feedback.
