Organisation Description
Youth Chaperon Uganda is a youth-led organisation dedicated to empowering young people through initiatives that promote leadership, education, and social development. Based in Uganda, the organisation addresses key challenges such as unemployment, education disparities, and health issues among youth. Through mentorship programmes, skills training, and resources, Youth Chaperon Uganda enables young people to participate in civic activities and decision-making processes. By fostering entrepreneurship and community service, the organisation seeks to nurture a generation of informed and active young leaders who drive positive change in their communities.
Project Scope
The Programme Associate will play a key role in supporting the coordination, documentation, and delivery of Youth Chaperon Uganda’s programmes. The role provides hands-on experience in programme management, youth engagement, and community outreach. Responsibilities include:
Assisting in the design and coordination of youth mentorship and training programmes.
Conducting research and documentation to capture programme outcomes and lessons learned.
Supporting monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities to track progress and impact.
Contributing to the development of outreach materials, including reports and case studies.
Engaging with stakeholders and community groups to strengthen partnerships and participation.
Project Outcomes
Coordinated and supported the delivery of at least three youth-focused programmes or workshops.
Produced research and documentation reports highlighting key outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
Developed M&E reports demonstrating progress towards programme goals and community impact.
Contributed to outreach materials (e.g., case studies, reports, or social media content) to raise awareness of initiatives.
Strengthened stakeholder engagement through active participation in at least two partnership-building activities.
Internship Requirements
Strong organisational and coordination skills.
Research and analytical abilities for programme documentation and evaluation.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a youth-led and community-driven environment.
Interest in youth empowerment, leadership development, and social impact.
