Programme Associate – Assorted Trends, Uganda
Organisation Description
Assorted Trends Africa is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering marginalised rural women and young people through community-driven initiatives. The organisation focuses on amplifying voices and fostering transformation in health, education, agriculture, and entrepreneurship development. Since its inception, Assorted Trends Africa has equipped and graduated 67 rural teenage and young mothers with vocational and business skills, supported 278 rural women in 9 groups to strengthen their microbusinesses, and reached 1,569 students through its sexual reproductive health and rights school programmes.
Project Scope
The Programme Associate will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing Assorted Trends Africa’s programmes, ensuring smooth operations, effective communication, and impactful community engagement. The role involves research, documentation, monitoring programme progress, and supporting promotional activities.
Facilitate programme coordination, ensuring seamless planning, execution, and communication.
Conduct research and documentation to investigate factors influencing programme success and provide strategic input.
Monitor and report on programme objectives and goals, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Develop promotional materials to raise awareness of the organisation’s initiatives and enhance outreach efforts.
Assist in budget management, including forecasting budget requirements, monitoring expenditures, and preparing financial reports.
Support the development of publications by researching and gathering accurate information on key community issues and project impacts.
Project Outcomes
Successfully coordinated and managed at least three key programmes, ensuring smooth execution and measurable impact.
Compiled detailed research reports providing insights into programme success factors and recommendations for improvement.
Developed monitoring and evaluation reports to track progress, challenges, and achievements of initiatives.
Created promotional content, including brochures, social media posts, and reports to enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Assisted in financial planning by preparing budget forecasts and expenditure reports to support sustainable programme implementation.
Contributed to the development of informative publications highlighting the organisation’s impact and community transformation.
