Partnerships & Outreach Coordinator – School Farms, Ghana

The organisation establishes school farms across educational institutions, providing students with hands-on agricultural training, strengthening awareness of sustainable farming practices, and contributing to local food security. Through its CENS+ framework, the organisation integrates Climate, Education, Nutrition and Skills development to create sustainable, community-driven impact across schools and local communities.
Project Scope
The Partnerships & Outreach Coordinator will support School Farms Ghana in strengthening strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and external outreach activities. This role offers practical experience in partnership development, communications, stakeholder engagement, and nonprofit business development within an international social impact context.
Responsibilities may include:
Researching and identifying potential partners including corporates, NGOs, foundations, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organisations aligned with School Farms Ghana’s mission.
Supporting the development and maintenance of a partnership pipeline and stakeholder contact database.
Assisting in drafting outreach emails, partnership briefs, introductory materials, and concept notes for prospective collaborators and supporters.
Supporting stakeholder engagement processes through follow-ups, meeting coordination, and relationship management activities.
Assisting in planning and coordinating virtual meetings, presentations, webinars, or stakeholder engagement events.
Tracking partnership interactions, outreach activities, and engagement progress using simple tracking systems or spreadsheets.
Supporting the preparation of briefing documents, meeting summaries, and follow-up communications.
Contributing ideas to strengthen School Farms Ghana’s visibility, partnerships, and long-term sustainability.
Project Outcomes
An updated and organised partnership pipeline or stakeholder database developed and maintained throughout the placement.
Outreach materials, partnership briefs, and introductory communications produced for organisational use.
Increased stakeholder engagement through follow-up activities and coordinated outreach efforts.
Contributions made towards identifying new collaboration opportunities, funding prospects, or institutional partnerships.
Clear records and summaries of partnership interactions and engagement progress maintained.
A short reflective report completed outlining learning outcomes, contributions, and recommendations for strengthening future outreach and partnership activities.
Internship Requirements
Interest in partnerships, communications, nonprofit development, sustainability, education, or international development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Research and organisational abilities.
Confidence using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar digital tools.
Ability to communicate professionally with external stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Willingness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team environment.
