Project Scope
The Marketing Intern will support Durian Nigeria to strengthen its digital presence, amplify women’s stories, and communicate the impact of its community development programmes. The role involves creating compelling content, supporting brand visibility, and contributing to outreach strategies across online and offline platforms.
Develop and manage digital content for social media platforms and Durian Nigeria’s website.
Assist in designing promotional materials including posters, flyers, newsletters, and impact stories.
Support the creation of storytelling content that highlights women’s journeys, programme milestones, and community achievements.
Conduct market and audience research to identify opportunities for outreach and partnership growth.
Monitor and analyse digital engagement to refine communication and content strategies.
Assist in coordinating marketing activities linked to skills training, community events, or product showcases.
Project Outcomes
Increased visibility and engagement across Durian Nigeria’s social media and digital platforms.
At least two promotional materials (e.g., newsletters, brochures, or story features) developed to showcase programme outcomes.
A market or audience insights report identifying outreach opportunities and potential partners.
Performance analysis reports contributing to improved communication strategies.
Support provided for at least one outreach, marketing, or community engagement activity, strengthening brand presence.
Internship Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media management and basic digital marketing tools.
Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva or Adobe Suite) are an advantage.
Ability to conduct simple market research and analyse engagement data.
Organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Genuine interest in women’s empowerment, rural development, and social impact.
