Marketing Assistant – Home Industries, Malawi

Organisation Description

Home Industries is an agro-processing company working with over 2,500 smallholder farmers across three value chains: sunflower, rice, and groundnuts. The company provides training, input loans, and market access to farmers, ensuring sustainable agricultural development and economic empowerment.

Project Scope

The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in enhancing Home Industries’ brand awareness, market presence, and outreach. The position involves developing marketing strategies, content creation, and executing campaigns to position the company as a leading whole food processor in domestic and international markets.

  • Develop an effective marketing strategy to expand Home Industries' reach to a broader audience.

  • Establish a structured content development system for social media, the website, and a pitch deck.

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to introduce Home Industries' products into mainstream supermarkets and other retail outlets.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and potential partnership opportunities.

  • Assist in developing promotional materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content.

  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics to optimise strategies and improve engagement.

Project Outcomes

Internship Requirements
