Project Scope

This project will support TGED Foundation’s communications and public engagement activities by developing engaging written and visual content that increases awareness of environmental issues, communicates the organisation’s work and encourages climate action.

  • Researching environmental and climate topics relevant to TGED Foundation’s programmes and target audiences.

  • Developing a 6–8 week content plan covering priority environmental themes, campaigns and programme activities.

  • Drafting 8–10 pieces of engaging educational and programme-related content for social media and other digital communications.

  • Designing 8–10 accompanying graphics or visual assets that communicate environmental information in an accessible and engaging way.

  • Developing 2–3 longer-form content pieces, such as website articles, environmental explainers, programme stories or impact features.

  • Supporting the development of visual content for selected environmental awareness campaigns, events or programme activities.

  • Reviewing TGED Foundation’s existing digital content and recommending ways to strengthen consistency, accessibility and audience engagement.

  • Creating simple content and design templates that can be adapted by the TGED Foundation team after the internship.

Project Outcomes

  • A 6–8 week environmental communications and content plan.

  • 8–10 pieces of draft social media or digital content.

  • 8–10 accompanying graphics or visual assets.

  • 2–3 longer-form articles, programme stories or educational content pieces.

  • A small set of reusable content and graphic design templates.

  • Recommendations for strengthening the consistency and engagement of TGED Foundation’s digital communications.

  • An organised content bank and handover document for future use.

Internship Requirements

  • Content Development & Writing: Ability to research topics and translate information into clear, engaging and audience-appropriate content.

  • Graphic Design: An interest in visual communication and confidence using tools such as Canva, Adobe Express or similar design platforms.

  • Environmental & Climate Interest: An interest in climate action, sustainability, environmental education or community development.

  • Research Skills: Ability to conduct desktop research and identify reliable information to inform educational content.

  • Digital Communications: An understanding of social media and how written and visual content can be adapted for different digital audiences.

  • Creativity & Attention to Detail: Ability to develop visually engaging materials while maintaining consistency and accuracy.

  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills and willingness to work with the TGED Foundation team and incorporate feedback.
