Project Scope

The Community Engagement Assistant will support TGED’s outreach and mobilisation efforts, ensuring that local communities and stakeholders are actively involved in the organisation’s initiatives. The role provides practical experience in community engagement, awareness-raising, and environmental advocacy. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and facilitation of at least two community sensitisation or awareness activities (online or offline).

  • Supporting the development of outreach materials such as flyers, posters, or short stories for social media.

  • Conducting basic surveys or interviews to gather community feedback.

  • Documenting engagement activities through short reports, photos, or blog-style summaries.

  • Supporting TGED’s social media presence with posts highlighting community stories and project impact.

Project Outcomes

  • At least two community engagement activities supported and documented.

  • Three outreach materials (e.g., flyer, poster, or blog post) created to raise awareness of TGED’s initiatives.

  • A short community feedback summary produced to highlight local perspectives and needs.

  • Increased visibility on social media through at least 5–8 engagement posts.

  • A reflective report at the end of the internship summarising contributions and lessons learned.

Internship Requirements

  • Interest in community development, environmental advocacy, or social impact.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic writing and digital content creation skills.

  • Organisational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently with guidance from the TGED team.
