Organisation Description

Triple Green Environmental Development Foundation (TGED Foundation) is a nonprofit organisation in Nigeria dedicated to fostering environmental sustainability through inclusive, community-driven solutions. Its work cuts across community engagement, grassroots projects, stakeholder collaboration, environmental education, public health advocacy and evidence-based research, with a mission to advance community-led solutions for climate and environmental resilience. Current initiatives include the Eco-Savers School Project, the Plastic-Free Ekiti Campaign, the Kick for Planet Initiative and the Treevolution Seed to School Initiative, which together span environmental and climate education, climate justice and policy advocacy, sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity conservation and capacity building.

Project Scope
This project contributes to TGED Foundation's mission of advancing community-led climate and environmental solutions by strengthening storytelling, public awareness and stakeholder communications across its four flagship initiatives:

  • Creating environmental awareness content and campaign messages for students, schools and community audiences.

  • Drafting activity reports, project updates and newsletter content across the initiatives.

  • Supporting social media campaigns, including content creation, scheduling and engagement.

  • Capturing project activities through photography, video and storytelling.

  • Developing 2–3 communication products tailored to stakeholders, partners or funders.

  • Supporting media engagement and advocacy messaging for the Plastic-Free Ekiti Campaign.

Project Outcomes

  • A content bank of awareness and advocacy materials across the four initiatives.

  • 2–3 communication products suitable for stakeholders, partners or funders.

  • Social media content and campaign materials ready for publication.

  • Documented project stories, photography and activity reports.

  • Draft advocacy messages supporting the Plastic-Free Ekiti Campaign.

Internship Requirements

  • Eligibility: Open to fresh graduates. This is an onsite internship based in Nigeria, so candidates must be available to work in person for the full placement.

  • Writing & Storytelling: Competence in preparing awareness content, reports, newsletters and social media copy.

  • Content Creation: Ability to design simple graphics and produce engaging visual content, ideally using tools such as Canva.

  • Environmental Awareness: Interest in climate action, environmental advocacy or sustainability communications.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, alongside familiarity with social media platforms.

  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with the TGED Foundation team and respond to feedback.
