Xavier Auffret 

Xavier Auffret is a French designer-engineer specialised in innovation through design. Graduate of the ESEO generalist engineering school and holder of a Master of Science degree in signal processing, he spent a few years as R & D engineer in telecommunications and then trained in design at ENSCI-les Ateliers. He is a co-founder of L’Atelier Universel, a recognised multidisciplinary innovation and design consultancy. He leads foresight and research & development projects for industry, health and research institutes. In addition to his design practice, he regularly gives lectures to sensitise new audiences to design (CentraleSupelec, Pierre & Marie Curie University, ENS Cachan). Xavier is one of the co-designers, with Laure Guillou and Chemsedine Herriche, of Jerry, the do-it-yourself open source computer and one of the founding members of the association that is currently spreading the project around the world: Jerry DIT (Do It Together).
