Mala Sinha

Mala Sinha has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s in Anthropology from The University of Delhi, India. Early in her career she worked with the WHO sponsored AIDS control programme of India. Later, what started as some casual volunteer work at a public school, ended up in her finding her true calling – science teaching. Inspired by the commitment of some very accomplished teachers, later her mentors too, she enrolled herself at the San Francisco State University and earned her Secondary School Teaching Credentials for California. In her six years of teaching, she has had varied experience of delivering American, British and IB curricula in US and Indian schools, respectively. She has taught in culturally and ethnically diverse classrooms with students at varied levels of English proficiency as well as special needs. Currently, she is teaching IB Diploma Program Biology and Environment Systems in an international school in India and loving it.

Besides her passion for teaching science, she is deeply into stitching and designing dresses, mostly for herself. She also loves to travel, read historical fiction and thrillers and do fun things like trekking in the hills, scuba diving, snorkeling and dabbles a little in photography.
