Code of Conduct

Our work is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following:

  • gender
  • gender identity and expression
  • age
  • sexual orientation
  • disability
  • physical appearance
  • body size
  • race
  • ethnicity
  • nationality
  • religion
  • political views
  • previous work experience or lack of

We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate.

I agree that I will: 
  • Be punctual for all activities with which I am involved 
  • Inform all parties involved if I am unable to attend a planned meeting 
  • Be respectful and courteous 
  • Be sensitive to and show respect for cultural needs and differences 
  • Show understanding when dealing with sensitive issues 
  • Do my utmost to ensure that everyone is included and valued and able to participate regardless of their race, religion or belief, age, disability, gender or sexual orientation 
  • Be aware at all times of the use of unacceptable language and comments (i.e. racist, sexist or other discriminatory behaviour) and refrain from using it 
  • Complete all relevant activities related to my role
  • Inform all parties involved of any changes affecting my ability to engage in the programme (e.g, leave of absence)

I will not: 

  • Work whilst under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances 
  • Initiate or respond to inappropriate physical contact with any party involved in the programme
  • Make aggressive physical contact or gestures 
  • Make suggestive remarks or gestures, even in jest 
  • Use inappropriate language when communicating with any party involved in the programme
  • Permit or use abusive language (i.e. bullying, ridiculing or taunting) 
  • Jump to conclusions or make assumptions about others. 

All incidents of lateness and cancellations will be recorded and taken into consideration. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary procedures being taken and/or the termination of your contract

Reporting Procedures
If you feel uncomfortable or think there may be a potential violation of the code of conduct, please report it immediately using the suggested method below. All reporters have the right to remain anonymous. If you are concerned about someone on the programme’s safety and well-being please do not hesitate to contact Learning Connected and provide as much information as you can so that we can best support the individual.
